Malik – A dialectical ingenuity

Well-articulated and carefully knit storyline, drawn into the canvas by a brilliant cinematography and given life by a crew of finest actors and technicians. When Malik transcends the borders of “Ramadhappally” and reach the comforts of your living room, you will be lost in the conscience of Ali and Roseline on the shoreline. When the film pans through decades of events, it portrays how the evident harmony between communities vanish into thin air.  The frame of Christ with Open Arms embracing the people of ‘Ramadappally’ is the writer’s message to those who finds it difficult to embrace another religion and their beliefs.

As the plot unravels, behold the brilliance of acting and filmmaking at its epitome. The film’s denouement was realistic and the story neither glorifies a crime nor the criminals but it lets the audience witness the dialectical ingenuity.

Evidently Malik has the potential to bring a radical shift in the minds of film makers and the audience. A shift to bring quality movies to the living room of the audiences.

Martin Scorsese said “Movies touch our heart, awaken our vision and change the way we see things”.  Let Malik touch the hearts of many like it touched mine.

Mahesh Narayan – “Malik is a feather in your cap”.
