DOTS OF OUR LIFE . . . W e are an aftereffect of our thoughts, but we seldom realize this fact. Living in the turbulence of a digital era, everything is changing in a fast pace. But we are reluctant to Change, though we know it is inevitable.   It is not because we are incompetent or incapable of what the world demands, but afraid of “failures” .   The failures that can make us broke, take us away from our comfort zones, feel miserable, so on and so forth.   Those thoughts are making us reluctant to change and pursue us to settle. People, bad experiences and previous failures - all can influence our thoughts & in-turn our actions. Despite what our gut feeling insists, we end up weighing all the options and choose to settle up for the most comfortable one- Low Risk and High Profit. Eckhart says, “All negativity is caused by an accumulation of psychological time and denial of the present.”       S tress, anxiety, fear are all caused by...

Girl in Glasses

In the crossroads of our life there are two choices for us that decides our path – Love or Fear . I chose Love, that made a great difference. But greatness is not when you are in love but when you are loved by someone whom you passionately love… Love can transform our lives phenomenally... Truly Inspired by the dreams that I have seen when I cuddled under a blanket during the heavy rains, when I drove through the barren lands under the hot sun and even while walking through the busy streets with a sweaty palm. The dream that turned my days the best, that never let me sleep sometimes – the dream of falling in love. March 13, 2016  1. Ship without rudder                                             Restlessness mixed with boredom in its right proportion, a pinch of heat in a jar of anxiety , this potion was making me feel annoyed throughout the day. All I n...

KAVA

Image
Kava, a plant which is used in the pacific regions which was historically grown only in the pacific islands of Hawaii. The roots of the plant is used to produce a drink which is primarily consumed to relax without disrupting one’s mental consciousness.           I’m not describing about this plant but something which is very similar to this plant, which helps you to relax and find yourself close to the nature and its serine beauty.          Both share the same name and this is all about ‘KAVA’, the best place near to my home - plethora of reasons to love it.  KAVA          Radiant beauty in the hills of Malampuzha, without losing its serenity to the human expansion.                    When thousands of people throng the Malampuzha gardens during the weekends and holidays to see t...

69th Independence Day- Time to ACT!!!

Image
The country is celebrating the 69 th INDEPENDENCE DAY. August 15 th 1947, the day when we were declared as an Independent Nation from the hands of the British. Today, I was hearing the viral speech of ‘Shashi Tharoor’ in a debate at Oxford Union on the topic ‘Should Britain pay reparations to its former colonies?'  I was thinking about how a colonial rule for two centuries devastated the Indian economy. But still I am proud of this nation, we fought back and now India is seen as one of the biggest Global contributors in every field! But are we really equipped to meet the needs of the future India - The basic amenities? Writing articles, conducting debates, creating awareness is all good but do you think it really helps to resolve our problems unless every one of us act? I am trying to convey through this write-up- A simple rule which can make a drastic change to this world. “Less Wastage” Yes, the word which we hate the most and the one which we make the mo...

Lost in Memories

Image
Still fresh like it all happened last week… I, Shikha*, my schooldays- made me feel nostalgic after that train journey ( http://sunilsvoyage.blogspot.in/2014/07/girl-from-4th-grade.html ). Monsoons of 2001… I was short but fair, naughty but innocent and was one of the talkative brats (according to teachers) in my class. Teachers tried all their ways to make me talk less in the class, but in vain. I escaped most of the time from the bamboo sticks since I had a poor physique. Fellow mates called me ‘kullan’(midget) since I stood first in the assembly line. Often I forgot my name itself when those idiots used it like my pet name. Start of another academic year, the rains lashed all the day while the teacher’s slashed the sticks on the bench to make us silent. Even though I was little naughty I was good in studies and teachers were little lenient about me being talkative.  ...
